Gate valves are the workhorse of industrial isolation, providing full-bore, bi-directional shutoff with minimal pressure drop when fully open. AQ Process Systems sources and exports cast and forged gate valves in all standard materials, pressure classes, and end connections for steam, petrochemical, power, and water applications.
We offer flexible wedge, solid wedge, and split wedge gate designs in sizes from 1/2" to 48" and pressure classes from 150 to 2500. Body materials include carbon steel (WCB, WCC, LCB), stainless steel (CF8, CF8M, CF3M), chrome-moly alloys, and duplex stainless steel.
All valves are supplied with full material certification, pressure test reports per API 598 or BS EN 12266, and marking per MSS SP-25. Fire-safe designs to API 607 and BS 6755 Part 2 are available for hydrocarbon service.
| Product | Specification | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Forged Gate Valves | ||
| Forged Steel Gate Valves (Small Bore) | 1/2", 2" | Class 800/1500/2500 | Threaded, SW, BW | Compact forged body gate valves for high-pressure small-bore piping, bolted bonnet or welded bonnet construction. |
| Cryogenic Gate Valves | Forged | Extended bonnet | -196°C rated | Extended bonnet gate valves for cryogenic service, LNG, nitrogen, oxygen, and ethylene applications. |
| Cast Gate Valves | ||
| Cast Steel Gate Valves | 2", 48" | Class 150-2500 | Flanged RF/RTJ or BW | Standard cast body gate valves, flexible wedge, OS&Y, bolted bonnet. The industry standard for pipeline and process isolation. |
| Pressure Seal Gate Valves | 2", 24" | Class 600-2500 | Pressure seal bonnet | High-pressure gate valves with pressure-seal bonnet, seal tightness increases with pressure. For HP steam, power, and refinery service. |
| Bellows Seal Gate Valves | 1/2", 12" | Class 150-600 | Zero fugitive emission | Bellows-sealed gate valves providing zero fugitive emissions, for toxic, hazardous, or environmentally sensitive fluids. |
| Special Gate Valves | ||
| Slab Gate Valves (Through-Conduit) | 2", 48" | Class 150-2500 | Full-bore, piggable | Through-conduit slab gate valves for pipeline service, full-bore design allows pigging. Single or double expanding gate. |
| Knife Gate Valves | 2", 48" | Class 150 | Wafer or lug body | Knife-edge gate valves for slurry, pulp, powder, and wastewater applications, shearing action for fibrous media. |
| Parallel Slide Gate Valves | 2", 24" | Class 150-2500 | Spring-loaded parallel discs | Parallel disc gate valves for high-temperature steam service, spring-loaded discs eliminate thermal binding. |
We supply flexible wedge, solid wedge, split wedge, slab (through-conduit), knife gate, and parallel slide gate valves. Body types include cast (2", 48"), forged (1/2", 2"), and fabricated. Pressure classes from 150 to 2500, in carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy, and exotic materials.
A flexible wedge has a cut around the perimeter allowing slight flexing to conform to the seat faces, this compensates for minor seat misalignment and reduces the risk of thermal binding in high-temperature service. Solid wedge gates are simpler and stronger but can bind if the seats distort. Flexible wedge is preferred for steam and high-temperature process service.
Yes. Pressure seal bonnet gate valves are available in Class 600 through 2500 for high-pressure steam, power plant, and refinery applications. The pressure seal design uses internal pressure to increase the bonnet joint seal tightness, eliminating the need for a bolted bonnet gasket in high-pressure service.
Yes. We supply gate valves with fire-safe certification to API 607 and BS 6755 Part 2 for hydrocarbon and petrochemical applications. Fire-safe valves maintain a degree of seat sealing and stem sealing integrity when exposed to fire conditions.
We supply gate valves with flanged (RF, RTJ, FF), butt-weld, socket-weld, and threaded (NPT, BSP) end connections. Flanged valves conform to ASME B16.5 (up to 24") and ASME B16.47 (26", 48"). Butt-weld ends per ASME B16.25.
